How to Prevent Bullying at School
Based on the highly acclaimed work of Jackson Katz's MVP Model and Danial Olweus, our programs show you how to prevent bullying at school and create a safe, equitable learning environment for all students. Our programs include involvement from the students on up to the superintendent.
Bullying is a real issue for children of all ages. As we gain more understanding of emotional development emotional health, we can no longer stand by and accept bullying as a natural part of growing up. Bullying can leave deep emotional scars for the victim, and bullies often learn negative relationship patterns that can plague them well into their adult lives. As we are faced with tragic and horrifying acts of violence and even deaths in our schools, it is critical that parents and our communities have the tools showing them how to prevent bullying at school and create a safe school environment for our children.
School Faculty and Staff/Coaches/Mentors – Perhaps you have an identified bully or victim. Maybe you are interested in implementing a program showing how to prevent bullying at school and/or securing ongoing support for a program that is already in place. Our coaches are ready and qualified to work with you to create a coaching system based on your individual needs and the needs of your school.
Parents – Are you starting to pick up on the telltale clues that suggest you child is being bullied? Does he feign illness to get out of going to school? Does she come home from school crying? Maybe his grades have been dropping, or she finds reasons to stay inside at recess. Maybe your child has even confided in you that he or she is being bullied.
Or perhaps your child has been reprimanded for bullying. You know you are a good parent and that your child is not abused or lacking self-esteem, so you struggle to understand what is going on. Contrary to popular belief, children engaged in bullying are often normal children with good self-esteem. Our coaches can help you understand your child's behavior so you can intervene in a loving, positive way.
